The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) creates a rebuttable presumption that goods mined, produced, or manufactured in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China are made with forced labor, where goods designated as such will be subject to an import ban into the U.S.
In response, the Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force (FLETF) has been tasked with developing and submitting an enforcement strategy to Congress for review. The FLETF’s strategy and related guidance will be issued on June 21, 2022.
